Moto Morini has confirmed that the all-new 3 1/2 Sport will soon be joining the New Zealand lineup - with the bike's main point of difference being its purpose-built V-twin engine.

With a sea of small capacity single-cylinder and parallel-twin motorcycles currently dominating the New Zealand LAMS market, Moto Morini's new 3 1/2 offers what is set to be the only V-Twin offering in the segment.

Expected to arrive in New Zealand Moto Morini dealers in Spring of 2026, the arrival of the 3 1/2 represents an important moment for the brand in New Zealand according to Brand Manager, Ray Heron.

“This is an exciting moment for Moto Morini in NZ, as it shifts away from another manufacturer’s engine and moves to a specifically designed Moto Morini V-Twin. This shows Moto Morini is here, means business, and offers something new and exciting in the small bike category for Kiwi riders.”

While many modern motorcycles continue chasing bigger numbers and more electronics, the Moto Morini 3 ½ Sport focuses on character instead.

The return of the 3 ½ Sport also marks another important step in the continued growth of Moto Morini in New Zealand, as the historic Italian brand expands its range with motorcycles that combine heritage, individuality, and real-world rideability.

Key Features of the Moto Morini 3 1/2 include:

  • Moto Morini-designed V-Twin engine

  • Lightweight steel frame

  • Upside-down front forks

  • Twin rear shock absorbers

  • ABS braking system

  • Full LED lighting

  • Modern TFT instrumentation

  • Retro-inspired styling with premium detailing

  • Low seat height and manageable ergonomics
