Voting for Triumph Originals 2026 officially closes today—making this your final opportunity to weigh in on the best custom Triumph Scrambler on the planet.
This year's global challenge brought together custom workshops from seven countries, tasked with reinterpreting the iconic Scrambler family under a unified design brief. As Steve Sargent, Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Product Officer, noted regarding the competition's direction:
"The theme for this year’s competition, 'Time Capsule,' challenged builders to capture a defining era or iconic moment from Scrambler history and re-imagine it through modern design and craftsmanship."
The 7 Customs in the Running
Spain (Tamarit Motorcycles – "MIURA"): Built on the Scrambler 400 XC, this ultra-lightweight build sheds 25 kg and features hand-formed aluminum, 3D-printed carbon, and upgraded suspension. (Personally, this 400 X build out of Spain is our absolute favorite of the bunch—but don’t let us colour your voting choice!)
Italy (South Garage Motor Co. – "Dune 400"): A rally-inspired Scrambler 400 XC loaded with desert-ready fairings, a tall screen, high pipes, and a sand-tone livery that screams vintage rally endurance.
UK (Stockwell Design): A heavily patinated Scrambler 900 designed to look like an old-school 1960s/70s machine that’s traveled the globe and earned every scratch along the way.
France (FCR Original – "Red Dust"): A sharp Scrambler 1200 XE trimmed down into a raw, performance-first machine built to tackle hard off-road terrain.
Canada (Motos Illimitées): A wild departure from tradition, turning the long-travel Scrambler 1200 XE into an aggressive, tarmac-shredding supermoto.
USA (Triumph Columbia River): Based on the Scrambler 1200 X, this Pacific Northwest tribute draws design cues from forestry service vehicles and classic trail utility bikes.
China (BVL): A throwback to the early 1980s VMX scene using the Scrambler 900 platform, blending retro motocross styling with sharp execution.
