Yamaha New Zealand has finally announced the pricing for the highly anticipated Tenere 700 for the New Zealand market, along with the date when the bike will be available to Kiwi riders.
Following on from the announcement by Yamaha Australia this week that the new Tenere will retail for $15,499 in Oz, Yamaha New Zealand revealed the pricing for Kiwi models as $16,999 plus on road costs.
The announcement also confirmed the date of arrival Yamaha Motor NZ's General Manager, Alan Petrie, told onthrottle.co.nz last year, with the bike arriving in New Zealand dealers in December. Just in time for Christmas!
The Tenere 700 is just one of two hot new Adventure models set to arrive in Kiwi dealers this year, with the KTM 790 Adventure R also making its debut this year. While Kiwis will have to wait longer for the Yamaha to arrive (the KTM arrives in stores in June) the wait will be worth it for price conscious buyers due to the KTM's price of $23,799 - making the Yamaha a full $6800 cheaper. That's a lot of fuel for adventures.
