Triumph’s TF 250-X motocross bike takes centre stage in the new 007 First Light video game, blending Bond-style action with off-road performance in a wild new collaboration.

Triumph is heading back into the world of James Bond — but this time, it’s not the big screen. It’s your console.

The British manufacturer has been confirmed as the official motorcycle partner for the upcoming video game 007 First Light, and while that might sound like standard brand crossover stuff, there’s a twist here that’s very on-brand for Bond.

We’re talking about a motocross bike. With a flamethrower.

Yep — the custom-built Triumph TF 250-X will feature in the game as part of Bond’s toolkit, complete with a deployable flamethrower system players can actually use during gameplay. It’s introduced via the iconic Q Lab setup, and from what we’ve seen so far, it leans heavily into that over-the-top gadgetry that makes Bond… well, Bond.

The game itself is being developed by IO Interactive — the team behind the Hitman series — and promises a fresh take on 007. Rather than rehashing familiar storylines, First Light dives into an origin story, following a 26-year-old Bond as he transitions from a Royal Navy air crewman into an MI6 operative.

So expect a mix of stealth, action, and globe-trotting espionage, with players given the choice to approach missions with brute force, clever tactics, or a bit of classic Bond charm.

For Triumph, this isn’t their first explosive entry into the 007 universe.

Fans will remember the brand’s standout appearance in No Time to Die, where Bond piloted a Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE through the streets of Matera in one of the film’s most memorable sequences. That partnership proved hugely successful, spawning multiple limited-edition models that quickly sold out, along with a co-branded apparel range.

This latest collaboration takes things in a slightly different direction — less polished street scrambler, more full-send dirt weapon — but it still showcases Triumph’s push into off-road performance, something we’ve seen grow in recent years with bikes like the TF 250-X.

From our perspective, it’s a pretty cool crossover.

Motorcycles and gaming have in our mind always needed a bit of overlap, and seeing a brand like Triumph get this creative — and a little bit wild — with it is a win. It might not be a production bike you’ll see tearing through the forests of your local trail ride anytime soon (flamethrower attachments probably won’t pass muster), but it does highlight just how far the brand is pushing its image beyond traditional road bikes.

As for the game itself, 007 First Light is set to land on May 27, 2026, with pre-orders already open.

Whether you’re a Bond fan, a gamer, or just here for the idea of a fire-breathing dirt bike, this is one worth keeping an eye on.
