Triumph's Tiger 1200 Gets Shredded For 2022!

Updated: Sep 29, 2021

Triumph Motorcycles has shown us our first glimpse of the upcoming Tiger 1200, and the transformation is almost unrecognisable from the bike we are familiar with.

Going by the photos Triumph has released, the new Tiger 1200 will enter the market with not just a Tiger 900 inspired design, but a major redesign to bring the bike further into the dirt oriented end of the adventure bike spectrum.

The new Tiger 1200 has gone on a series diet and really hit the gym with

Triumph saying the bike has been designed to deliver the ultimate large-capacity adventure ride, with the bike set to bring every advantage to the table.

Those are fighting words and really points to who Triumph is targeting with the new Tiger 1200 – KTM and their 1290 Super Adventure line.

Triumph is claiming that the new 1200 is significantly lighter than its closest competition, with an astonishing transformation in weight (the old models were a bit on the heavy side with a high centre of gravity). As always, the new Tiger will combine the triple powered with a new dimension in class-leading agility, control and handling which will make it a very desirable package for premium adventure riders.

The new Tiger 1200 is in the final stages of pre-production testing, meaning we're likely to see this in the coming months as a production model for the 2022 model year.
