NZ's Premier Motorcycling Podcast Celebrates 1 year Online

New Zealand’s premier motorcycling podcast, the Powerband Podcast, this month celebrates its first year of being on the air.

Founded in October 2018 by friends and fellow motorcyclists, Raymond Heron and Mathieu Day-Gillett, the Powerband Podcast now boasts a catalogue of 50 episodes which are all available free online at all popular podcasting outlets.

It’s been a tremendous 12 months, with content covering everything from the Suzuki Series and New Zealand Superbike season to a guided ride around Taranaki and the latest news in motorcycling.

Support for the podcast from the wider Kiwi motorcycling community has been incredibly positive. In addition to the continued support of New Zealand’s Motomuck brand of cleaners – which sponsored seasons two and three – big names in New Zealand’s motorcycling community such as racers Avalon Biddle, Brad Groombridge and Sloan Frost as well as Ride Forever’s Dave Keilty have all taken the time to join the Powerband Team.

Listenership has grown steadily, with over 5000 downloads and an average monthly audience of over 500 unique listeners tuning in.

The future looks bright for the Powerband Podcast, with talks in progress to sell the naming rights to premier outlet Kiwi Rider Magazine, with whom the Powerband Podcast already shares close ties.

Listen in to the latest episode of the Powerband Podcast each and every Thursday via Spotify, Stitcher, iTunes, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Podbean.
