Aprilia Motorcycles NZ has confirmed that the recently unveiled RS457 GP Replica will be heading to Kiwi dealerships in 2026.

It's not secret that Aprilia's smallest RS model is also its most popular in the thriving LAMS class in New Zealand, and for 2026, the brand is packing more value in with the new GP Replica version.
Based on the same platform as the existing RS457, the GP Replica ups the ante with additional factory equipment including an up/down quickshifter, higher friction brake pads for more effective braking, solo seat setup and a factory inspired aesthetic package.
Visually setting it immediately apart from the rest of the RS457 range is its alloy frame, which rather than the raw silver of the original is now coated a sleek black to match the sporty full plastic fairings of the RS457 GP Replica.
Behind the fairings, the engine remains the same 35kW twin-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Power is capped at 35kW so it can meet Europe's A2 licence requirements.
Keeping the bike on the sportier side of the LAMS class, the RS457 GP Replica weights in at only 159 kg dry - or more realistically for us as consumers - 175 kg fully fuelled while the adjustable suspension completes a chassis setup that sets the benchmark for its category.
True to Aprilia tradition, the standard electronic package is impressive - especially for a LAMS class bike. That means the RS457 boasts not only Ride-by-Wire throttle, but three Riding Modes as well as adjustable ABS and traction control..
While pricing is yet to be confirmed, we don't expect it will be a massive hike over the base RS457's current pricing of $10,990. For a bike with genuine GP heritage thanks to its visual resemblance with Aprilia's RS-GP MotoGP machines
