It feels like it has been coming for a long time, but the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally is finally about to land in New Zealand, and now we know how much it'll cost.
Aprilia New Zealand's distributor, Salero Holdings, has confirmed the new Tuareg Rally will arrive in late September with a price point of $23,990 plus on road costs.
Considering the base Tuareg 660 has an RRP of $22,990 that is phenomenal value for what is included with the Rally.

Visually, the Tuareg Rally ups the ante with a high mount front mudguard and taller seat for that more dirt bike aesthetic. The hand guards get metal backbones for added durability and the skid plate gets a whole lot thicker to take even more punishment off the beaten track.
Following on from their back-to-back Africa Eco Race wins, Aprilia has also used that hard earned knowledge to tweak the KYB suspension of the Tuareg Rally, which offer an impressive 240 mm of travel and now features stiffer linear springs for better off road feel.
The Tuareg Rally exhales through a full SC Project exhaust system with a titanium silencer - which on its own would cost more than the price increase of the Tuareg Rally over the base Tuareg.

The wheels have been swapped out for heavy-duty spoked wheels with Ergal narrow rims, and while they move to old-school inner tubes for inflation, the combination of the new rims and the SC-Project exhaust sees the Tuareg Rally tip the scales under 200kg at 199 kilos ready to ride!
With the middleweight adventure class still one of the hottest tickets in motorcycling, it'll be very interesting to see if Aprilia's spicy new Tuareg Rally can help move the brand up the sales charts once it arrives in dealers.
