Aprilia Celebrates Phillip Island with RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute

The final GP weekend at Australia's Phillip Island Circuit was celebrated by Aprilia with the unveiling of a stunning special-edition sports bike: the Aprilia RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute.
While the racing at the final running of the Phillip Island GP had its share of heartbreak—with championship leader Jorge Martin crashing out of Saturday's sprint race and Sunday's racing ultimately cancelled due to atrocious weather—Aprilia proved once again that the iconic circuit holds a legendary place in the brand's racing heritage.
Aprilia Racing's history of success is deeply intertwined with Phillip Island. On the blisteringly fast Australian track, Aprilia has secured no fewer than ten victories across various MotoGP World Championship classes, alongside triumphs in the Superbike World Championship with the legendary RSV4. Most notably, Raúl Fernández’s 2025 MotoGP victory on the RS-GP helped Aprilia reach a historic milestone: 300 wins in the World Motorcycle Championship, cementing its status as the most successful European manufacturer in the history of the sport.
To celebrate this unbreakable bond—and mark the end of an era as the circuit leaves the MotoGP calendar after almost thirty seasons—Aprilia has produced this exclusive limited-edition version of the RS 660, one of the most popular mid-range sports bikes on the market.

Exclusive Styling and Equipment
The RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute features a striking livery designed exclusively for the model:
Livery: A clean white base paired with bold green accents on the sides and tail, complemented by standout red wheel rims.
Badging & Details: The side panels proudly feature the circuit's track-layout logo alongside the words "Phillip Island Circuit" and a finish-line chequered flag. The fuel tank sports a special badge commemorating Aprilia's total victories at the track, while the steering head plate displays the individual serial number.
Standard Gear: A passenger seat cover comes included as standard equipment.

High-Performance Tech Platform
Beneath the unique graphics lies the exceptional technical platform of the standard RS 660. Powered by a compact, lightweight 660 cc front-mounted twin-cylinder engine, it delivers an impressive 105 HP at 10,400 rpm and 70 Nm of torque at 8,400 rpm (with a 35 kW restricted version also available).
It remains a class benchmark for electronics, featuring a six-axis inertial platform and the latest-generation aPRC suite:
Traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control, and cornering ABS
Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle with adjustable engine mapping
Launch control, a bidirectional electronic quickshifter, and cruise control

Local Arrival
Aprilia New Zealand has confirmed that a small allocation of these bikes will be heading our way. Pricing is yet to be confirmed—though it is expected to slot neatly between the base RS 660 and the premium RS 660 Factory—with deliveries slated to begin in February 2027.
Based on this gorgeous, race-bred livery alone, we'd gladly find room for one in the OnThrottle garage if we had the coin to spare!
