Ducati has expanded its Monster line-up for 2026 with the introduction of a new Sport Livery, adding a fresh visual edge to its iconic naked bike while retaining its lightweight, performance-focused formula.

Set to arrive in dealerships from April, the new colour scheme joins the existing Ducati Red and Iceberg White options, bringing a more aggressive and premium look inspired by the legendary Monster S4. The design pairs grey bodywork with Racing Red highlights across the wheels, seat, tank and tail, and is also available on the Monster Plus variant, which adds a flyscreen and seat cowl.

V2 performance remains the highlight

Powering the Monster is Ducati’s Euro 5+ compliant V2 engine, delivering 111hp and 91Nm of torque. As expected from the brand’s naked offering, the focus is on strong, usable performance, with more than 80 percent of torque available across a wide rev range.

Ducati is also claiming class-leading maintenance intervals, with valve checks required every 45,000km, helping reduce long-term ownership costs.

Lightweight, agile and easy to ride

The latest Monster continues to emphasise lightness, with a redesigned aluminium monocoque frame and lightweight subframe contributing to a 4kg weight saving over the previous generation.

That translates to a compact, agile bike that’s equally at home commuting through traffic or carving up twisty roads. A low 815mm seat height and narrow profile also make it accessible for a wide range of riders.

Tech-packed and rider-friendly

Electronics remain a strong point, with cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control and engine brake control all standard and fully adjustable. Four riding modes — Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet — allow riders to tailor performance depending on conditions.

A 5-inch TFT display handles rider information, with Ducati Multimedia System compatibility and turn-by-turn navigation available, while cruise control is now offered for the first time on the Monster.

Classic design, modern edge

While the new Sport Livery adds visual impact, the Monster retains its signature stripped-back styling — including the sculpted fuel tank, compact tail and minimalist silhouette that have defined the model since its debut in 1993.

OnThrottle takeaway

The addition of the Sport Livery doesn’t change the core appeal of the Monster, but it does sharpen its presence. With strong V2 performance, lightweight handling and modern electronics, the 2026 Monster continues to deliver a well-rounded package — now with a little more attitude straight from the factory.
