Triumph Motorcycles has pulled the covers off its latest Triumph Factory Custom (TFC) offering, with the Speed Twin 1200 being the latest bike to get the upper-crust treatment.

When it comes to special edition Triumph Motorcycles, it's hard to go past the brand's now-annual offerings from the TFC line. Simply put, the Triumph factory in Hinckley takes an already special machine, cranks it up to 11 in all respects, and sends out only 750 units worldwide. With carbon fibre, exclusive paint, Akrapovič exhausts, and top-tier suspension, any bike wearing the TFC badge is something truly special.

The sportiest member of the Triumph Bonneville family is getting an even higher-performance hit, adding an incredible array of premium components to the already impressive spec of the base Speed Twin 1200 RS. This new model follows the Thruxton TFC, Rocket 3 TFC, and two editions of the Bobber TFC, becoming only the fifth motorcycle to wear the exclusive badge.

Speed Twin 1200 TFC Specs and Performance

Engineered to deliver an even more engaging riding experience, the Speed Twin 1200 TFC features sportier ergonomics with clip-on handlebars, complemented by fully adjustable Öhlins front and rear suspension. Premium chassis components enhance precision, control, and rider feedback, while Akrapovič titanium silencers amplify the unmistakable Triumph soundtrack.

Punchy, torque-rich power comes from Triumph's 1200cc Bonneville twin, delivering strong performance with unrivalled character. Modern, rider-focused technology—including Triumph Shift Assist, Optimised Cornering ABS, and Traction Control—provides the precision and confidence to exploit thrilling performance on every road.

New Zealand Pricing and Availability

Just a handful of examples are expected to arrive in New Zealand ahead of the new riding season, with official pricing yet to be confirmed by Triumph Motorcycles NZ. Going by past examples from the Triumph Factory Customs line, expect the Speed Twin 1200 TFC to carry a premium over the Speed Twin 1200 RS it builds upon—the latter of which is currently available with a $2,000 discount at $24,990.

What Triumph Says

Nick Bell, Chief Marketing Officer at Triumph Motorcycles, commented: “A Triumph Factory Custom is our opportunity to create something special. The new Speed Twin 1200 TFC takes the most performance-focused motorcycle in our Modern Classics range and elevates it with an exceptional level of detail, performance, and exclusivity.

“The Speed Twin has always been admired for the way it blends timeless style, character, and capability. With the TFC, we've pushed those qualities even further and the result is a motorcycle that feels even more dynamic, more exclusive, and more rewarding to own and ride.”
