Following yesterday’s news from Husqvarna, sister-brand KTM has also announced it is also recalling LC4 powered motorcycles built between 2018 and 2020.
KTM’s press release went into a little more detail over the cause of the recall, which involves all LC4 models of the model years 2018 – 2020.
The bikes are being recalled to authorised KTM dealers in order to have the clutch clutch slave cylinder inspected and possibly replaced.
KTM says that damage to the seal caused by deviations in assembly may impair the function of the clutch slave cylinder. All components of the version with a bellow gasket must therefore be replaced with the new version without a bellow gasket.
Owners of the bikes involved in the recall will be contacted directly by KTM New Zealand and directed to have their bikes inspected by their local authorised dealer.
