Ducati Celebrates With Limited Edition Desert Sled Fasthouse

Updated: Mar 15, 2021

While we are still waiting to see if Ducati's fantastic looking DesertX concept will make it into production (and our fingers are definitely crossed it does!) the Italian firm has just announced a new limited edition version of the popular Scrambler Desert Sled - the Desert Sled Fasthouse.

Limited to just 800 units worldwide, the Desert Sled Fasthouse has been built to commemorate Ducati's victory in the Hooligan class of the 2020 edition of the Mint 400 and its collaboration with US moto clothing outfit Fasthouse.

The Mint 400 is billed as the oldest and most prestigious off-road race in the USA and is held each year in the foothills surrounding Las Vegas in Nevada, with the race taking place over two days of gruelling off-road racing on a desolate and punishing 400-mile racecourse.

Starting from the base of the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, the Fasthouse model is distinguished by its special livery, which replicates the graphics used by the bikes that took part in the Mint 400 last year.

The main colours are black and grey, which combines in a geometric design on the tank, on which the Fasthouse logo is inserted alongside the Ducati Scrambler one. The frame is in Ducati Red and is embellished with an aluminium plate bearing the number of the bike within the limited series, making each one of the 800 units to be produced unique, while the front and rear mudguards are black.

The collaboration also extends to the launch of a capsule collection of apparel, created specifically for the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse. The collection consists of 4 elements: short-sleeved t-shirt, long-sleeved t-shirt, jacket and cap, all made with high-quality fabrics, which will be available for purchase from the end of April on Fasthouse's sales channels, in Ducati network dealers and on the Ducati Online Shop.

While we don't know how many examples of the Ducati Desert Sled Fasthouse will make their way to New Zealand we do know the pricing of the latest addition to the Ducati Scrambler family. If you want to make one yours, you'll be looking at $21,045 to make it so. So what are you waiting for?
