Cardo Goes BEYOND – From Intercoms to Helmets

Cardo is evolving from simple stick-on comms units, with the brand announcing overnight that they will debut their first tech-filled helmet line - the Cardo Beyond - for 2026

We’ve been rocking Cardo comms for years now — from group rides to solo missions, they’ve made chatting on the go stupidly easy. But now, Cardo’s decided that sticking their tech on the side of your helmet isn’t enough. For 2026, they’ve gone BEYOND — literally — by building their own smart helmets.

Say hello to the BEYOND GTS and BEYOND GT. These aren’t just helmets with a bit of tech chucked in — they’re full-blown smart lids with everything built straight in from the factory.

While we have no local pricing yet, overseas, the GTS is sitting around USD $1,199 / €1,199, while the GT comes in at $949 / €949. Yeah, not exactly pocket change — but if you add up a top-shelf helmet and a new Packtalk Pro, you’re in the same ballpark anyway.

All the Toys, None of the Faff

Cardo’s not dipping a toe in the water here — they’ve gone all in. The BEYOND helmets are rocking 53mm speakers tuned by Cardo Sound Labs, plus Active Noise Cancellation made specifically for motorcyclists. That means clearer tunes, better chat, and maybe — just maybe — no more earplugs on the highway.

There’s even a helmet health monitor built in. It keeps tabs on your lid’s condition so you’ll know if it’s time to retire it instead of guessing after a small drop in the garage. Smart stuff.

You’ll also find:

  • A detachable battery with wireless charging

  • Auto on/off and a custom button you can set up how you like

  • Upgradeable tech modules, so it won’t go out of date in a couple of years

Built Properly Too

The flash BEYOND GTS gets a carbon-fibre shell, multi-density EPS, and plenty of wind-tunnel testing to keep it light, comfy, and stable at speed. It’s ECE 22.06 and DOT certified, has an Emergency Release System, and even packs Crash Detection that can ping your contacts if things go wrong.

Visibility’s sorted too — there’s a Pinlock® 200 anti-fog visor, plus an Active Brake Light on the back so you’re easier to spot in traffic.

And of course, this is Cardo we’re talking about — so you get their Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) with a 2km range, Bluetooth, and hands-free voice control. No more fiddling with buttons when you should be focusing on the road.

Inside, there’s a moisture-wicking liner to keep things fresh and a drop-down sun visor for when the sun decides to play nice.

The GT – Same Smart, Less Fancy

If the GTS sounds a bit too flash, the BEYOND GT tones it down a touch. It swaps the carbon for fibreglass, skips wireless charging, and packs a slightly smaller 1000mA battery — but it still supports noise cancellation, comes with a Pinlock® 120XLT®, and has all the same core smarts. Think of it as the everyday rider’s version.

Final Thoughts

After 20 years making some of the best intercoms around, Cardo’s finally built the helmet they’ve always been destined to make — and honestly, it looks like a bit of a game-changer.

If the BEYOND performs as good as it sounds, this could be the future of helmet tech — less bolting on, more built-in, and a whole lot smarter.

With only a year or so left in the life of our current helmet, we'd better start saving to make the move to the new Cardo Beyond helmets.
